version
Description:
The NMSC-025A Whole-Brain "Duyn" array is based on a unique splittable
former which provides close element placement for high peak cortical
sensitivity. An optimally gapped array geometry provides low G factors
for parallel imaging and ultra-low impedance preampli-fiers provide
excellent element-element isolation. Peak cortical sensitivity is
improved by up to 600% and central brain sensitivty increased by up
to 80% over large single-channel volume coils. The combination of
high senstiivty and low G factors allow 2 or 3 fold acceleration rates
to be achieved with improved SNR over typical whole-brain single channel
coils.
Provided in either 4, 8, or 16 element versions, the NMSC-025 whole
brain array maximizes capabilities of 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners for
whole-brain functional studies.
