Description:
The NMSC-010/011 Parallel Imaging arrays are state-of-the art coils
designed specifically for high acceleration rate parallel imaging
studies. Using gapped elements placement, matrix singularities associated
with conventional overlapped arrays are reduced allowing improved
SENSE g factors. Using unique Nova Medical NMP-1 decoupling preamplifiers,
excellent element-element isolation is achieved despite the presence
of significant mutual inductive coupling between elements.
Provided as a custom array of 4, 8, or 16 elements, these coils can
be provided as separate independent elements or groups enclosed in
flexible cases. Extensive cable traps and baluns are used to provide
minimum interference with transmit operation and improve coil-coil
isolation during receive. Several different standard sizes are available,
though any custom size can be made to suit an individual requirement.
