Dome Parallel Imaging Array
Model NMSC-008A
Features:
- High Sensitivity Dome Neuroimaging Array specially designed for parallel imaging
- Ultra-low Impedance Nova Medical Preampfliers allow excellent element-element isolation despite the presence of mutual inductive coupling
- Available as 4 or 8 element versions on GE or Siemens MRI Scanners
- Cortical Sensitivity Improved by up to 300%
Description:
The NMSC-008A Dome Parallel Imaging array uses the latest Nova Medical coil technology to provide superb whole-brain senstivitity for fMRI and other neuroimaging applications. Using separate gapped elements, matrix singularities associated with conventional overlapped arrays are reduced allowing improved SENSE g factor. Using unique Nova Medical NMP-1 decoupling preamplfiers, excellent element-element isolation is acheived despite the presence of significant mutual inductive coupling between elements.
Provided as both 4 or eight 8 element versions, the fixed dome geometry of this coil provides superb sensitivity over the majority of the cortex including the motor strip. Peak Cortical senstivity is improved up to 3 fold over whole brain birdcage coils with sensitivitiy improvements of 60% seen in the deep brain structures.
