Visual Array Model NMSC-021
|
- 500% increase in occipital cortex Signal
to Noise Ratio
- Designed specifically for functional
MRI of the occipital cortex and
associated processing areas
- Coverage includes parietal and
posterior temporal lobes
- Four element linear array for maximum sensitivity
Description:
The NMSC-021 Visual Array is designed specifically for functional imaging of the human visual
system. The four channel linear array design allows extremely high sensitivity over the primary
visual cortex with extended coverage including the parietal and posterior temporal lobes. Signal
to noise ratio is increased up to 500% over standard whole brain volume coils allowing a dramatic
increase in the time and spatial resolution of functional studies.
While the standard version is a four element design with coverage similar to the NMSC-001
"Visual" quadrature surface coil, a smaller "occipital array" version is available with higher
sensitivity over the primary visual cortex and offers up to 800% signal to noise ratio increase
over whole-brain volume coils. Also, custom versions are available with increased number
of array elements for systems supporting eight or sixteen receiver channels.
